Aruba is a small island nation found in the Caribbean sea, and is located just north of Venezuela. The country ionly has a population of a little more than 100,000, but this does not prevent them from participating in international sporting events. In fact, the country of Aruba has several sport teams that compete at the international level.
The Aruba soccer (football) team is an international competitor, and although they don’t have as many players to choose from, due to their small size, they do play against other nations.
On top of this, the island nation also has a baseball team that plays against other countries in the Caribbean sea and in South America. With baseball being such a popular sport in the area, it is not unheard of for an individual to be drafted into the major leagues. The country also plays softball on the woman’s side, although this doesn’t drub up as much interest as baseball. It is one of the few girls sports available on the country that does compete on an international level, outside of individual sports such as taekwondo. If you are looking for a team girls sport, softball is essentially the only option available.
